Ah, the lovely mom-to-be; resplendent in her rhinestone "Baby" t-shirt. But why the feigned smile, you ask? Well, truth be told, M. has never really been a big fan of the blog. As a matter of fact, when I first suggested starting one, she was adamantly opposed to the whole idea. Shocking, I know. Actually, I would almost go so far as to say that she thinks it's a complete waste of time and that I've become one of the biggest dorks on the planet.
Well, darling, love of my life, mother to my unborn son, do not despair. I will soon cease blogging about your belly.
And I will begin to blog about our baby!
However, since this is still technically a belly blog, I leave you, my (three) loyal readers, with one final parting shot of M.'s magnificent belly at 39 weeks. Behold its splendor and glory!
You have four reader. You are a dork though you try to disguise it, I'm sure I told M that, she never listens. I also told her to run off with me and Brian to London and the twinkle in her eye showed she was tempted. Good luck in next week and have fun.
Love

Wow...what a belly! Better from baby than beer!
And I read several things in that look: "Take the flippin' picture already, you giant dork"..."I can't believe you did this to me"..."GET IT OUT!!" are just a few.
Can't wait for Mr. Smith's appearance!

The end is finally here! The end of the pregnancy, that is. The years coming up are the 'fun' ones. There will be many a day that you will yearn for this pregnancy back - sad but true.
The Yocum Clan from back East are extremely excited for the both of you and the arrival of the newest male family member! Can't wait to meet him in person.

Make that five readers, although I don't post much, I have been watching. I haven't watched in a few weeks though, I have been making sure Malane (now one year old)doesn't climb up to the top bunk and that Maxena doesn't give her a push, ah sisterly love. When I first saw the belly shot, I gasped, "How beautiful!", and I immediately thought that you should cast that. Then I went down a bit and saw that you already did. I hope it went better then mine. Madeline (age 7 at the time) stayed up until 3am doing mine for me. And they we discovered that yes, you really should follow the directions and use petroleum jelly and not massage oil, which tends to absorb into the skin. Well, after laughing so hard I nearly needed one of those adult diapers modeled by your lovely party guest, it finally popped off. Wow what a relief. I hope everything is going good and I can't wait to see the little mister. Well I believe Maxena is running out of the apt with no underwear on again so...I better run.

OMG, I took a pic like that the night before we were due. My wife nearly killed me when I published it -- but she looked far more likely to 'pop' than your lovely SO (significant other). It was scary. Your wife looks normal by comparison. Enjoy the labor and all the stress that goes with it, esp. if an epidural doesn't 'take' too well (as we experienced). Avoid those episiotomies that cut into the rectum (it might not be too late to discuss this with the Dr. BTW). Your wife might forever never be the same, and she'll let you know.
8th reader here :)

I'm 38 weeks along and my belly looks like I swallowed a watermelon twice the size of M's. We'll look forward to seeing more pics of that beautiful baby.
