Finally I've gotten M. to agree to let me start posting about her (our?) pregnancy. It took some convincing but here we are. And what better way to kick things off than with a picture? Look for more photos in the coming weeks as we chart her ever expanding
bust belly.
Tomorrow we're officially at 17 weeks and things are going pretty well. The morning sickness - which, funnily enough, never occurred during the morning - is finally gone. M. tells me, however, that it's been replaced by a kind of "spaciness" that she's read about in her pregnancy books. Needless-to-say, I've not noticed much of a change. ; )
To provide some perspective on the above picture, M.'s always had a very flat tummy. What you see here is a BIG change from even just a few weeks ago. During a walk today we popped into a hardware store to pick up a tape measure so we can quantify her belly's outward expansion. We're not really sure what makes an accurate measurement so we're going straight around from her belly button. Today we're at 32 inches in circumference.
I plan to update the site weekly with pictures of M.'s progress. Other posts will appear as well - I can't believe how into strollers I've become - as we go through this exciting time together. I invite you to check back often. Who knows, maybe I'll even get M. to blog a few times as well. Now THAT would be a miracle too!
OH MY GOD!!!!!! I HOPE I AM THE FIRST ONE TO COMMENT. JUST CALLED AUNT CLAIRE AT WORK SO SHE CAN PULL IT UP.
DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD HAVE WANTED MY BIG BELLY PLASTERED ALL OVER THE INTERNET, BUT IT IS KIND OF NEAT. SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE REALLY ENJOYING THE EXPERIENCE AND I SAY GO FOR IT! WITH MEREDITH'S SHAPE, SHE WILL PROBABLY HAVE THE LITTLE "BASKETBALL" LOOK (WHICH YOU SHOULD APPRECIATE, KEN). GOD BLESS YOUR LITTLE FAMILY.
LOVE, AUNT BABS
::Haha. Yep, you're the first one, Aunt Babs. Thanks for the support. BucKen::

I can't believe Aunt Babs signed her name Aunt Babs...

Is this for real? You guys have really gone dark side on how geeky you are. Seriously, stop the insanity. BTW, you measure vertically, not horizontally.

Alison, you don't have to be sour just because we're more technologically forward thinking than you and Dan. Can't we all just get along?

So I will be the second Aunt to post on this blog. What a great way to keep us all updated on M's progress. It's a good thing you explained to me what "blogs" were when you were home! Can you imagine what mom and dad's reaction would be. Mother of God........talk to you soon Love to both

Hey Mer & Buck, I think this is really neat and I for one look forward to seeing the weekly progress! And also I'm so happy that you're already so into this experience, Buck, as that's a great indication of what a terrific Daddy you will be. Pay no attention to the naysayers and I can't wait to meet your aunts. They sound with it. Love, Nana Gail

I give M all the credit for this! God bless you toot :o) Ken I still can't believe that you're going to be a DAD! Shannon and Connor are still talking about it (and the both of you).
On another note, Shannon has started and trashed several letters to you. I will get her to finish one and mail it along with a picture from Connor, who will be able to write a sentence or two as well.
Take care and can't wait to see more! Just please don't share any pictures from the delivery room if there are any!!!!!!
Love to all THREE of you, Cousin Kathleen

Well since the rest of the family has chimed in I guess it was time that Uncle B does as well. I'm not sure what to say as I told Ken last night that I didn't know if I would be posting but here I find myself doing it. Anyway, this is a great idea and I can't wait to keep looking for updates. I'm somewhat short on words today. Hope all is well.
Uncle B

'Uncle B' a la 'Uncle T.' I like it! A new family tradition is born!

Gee, I feel kinda left out since I'm not really part of the family. Can I be Uncle C? Or is that already taken?
Anyway, congrats you guys, and I love this idea! I actually proposed it to my own (also preggo) cousin, but unfortunately they don't have the technical wazzoo to do it up as good as you guys.
Watching that Expando-Belly with bated breath,
- Unk C
ps: any chance of an animated gif showing the expanding belly in superfastspeed?

Well Hello, Tarbash.
I wandered onto your site today and was quite amused by all of the recent postings and activity (perhaps I would do well to visit the site more often?).
My guess is that your darling wife is brewing up quite a large manchild in there- congratulations once again! Any gender speculation so far?
